Air Purifier Tips
Natural Health Magazine teamed with the research director for the Institute for Asthma and Allergy to provide tips on selecting an effective air purifier. With so much mis-information out there it's great to see advice from an expert in the field to clear the air. Unfortunately, there are no true standards in the indoor air quality space regarding air purifiers other than selecting a true HEPA unit, but the advice from Dr White is sound and a good start in narrowing down the list of products that are available.
To further her recommendations, we suggest that the air purifier be sized to change the air 4 to 6 times per hour. That means that the air will circulate through the air purifier every 10 to 15 minutes in a room. Some manufacturers list large room coverages for their units however they are only cleaning the room 1 to 2 times per hour.
