With the release of the Paralda air purifier, we've begun redesigning air purification!  With the Paralda air purifier you can breathe the cleanest air possible without sacrificing the style of your home. Named after the elemental king of air, the new Paralda air purifier is redefining air purification with its design, function and ecological commitment.  The Paralda is the ideal air purifier for bedrooms or smaller space application cleaning 400 sq ft / 38m2 and runs quietly so you can get your well deserved sleep waking up refreshed.

The Paralda air purifier has multi-filtration technology contains HEPA filtration, an ozone safe Ionizer which can be turn off or on and a long-lasting ultraviolet light.  The HEPA filter in the Parlada air purifier has been tested to remove 99.42% of airborne particles like dust, dust mites, pet dander, mold spores and pollen.  The long-lasting UV light in the Paralda air purifier has proven to eliminate 98% of airborne bacteria and viruses.  The Paralda air purifier combines the ozone-safe ionizer which promotes an environment of health and rejuvenation.

The Paralda air purifier is green - literally.  The translucent exterior poetically suspends the bamboo green interior portraying a feeling of freshness.   The Paralda air purifier is also green, in design; it's RoHS compliant, Energy Star qualified and ozone safe.

I bought a Paralda in Nov 09 and tested it (during the 30 day return period) with a Laser Particle Counter. (for the tech savvy: a swiss "Particle Scan Pro", detection range 0.3 to 30 micron)

these are the results:
- outdoors: 230,000 particles per litre of air (p/l) (and that was a "clear air" day, a bad day sees a million and more)
- indoors: approx. 160,000 p/l
- in a room with an Alen Paralda, on speed 3 for 1 hour before the test: 10,000 to 11,000 p/l
- directly at the air outlet of the Alen Paralda: 800-1,400 p/l

To give these values some meaning: more than 105,000 p/l are considered a health risk by the W.H.O., anything below 60,000 p/l is considered good air quality, high up in the Swiss Alps you will find 2,000 p/l.

The Paralda did remove up to 99,5% of the particles, and reduced the room particle load by 93% within only 1 hour.

So - it does exactly what it says on the tin, I kept it  and I am buying more Paraldas and an A375UV for the rest of the house.

Beats units at Fortress Hands Down! July 15, 2009

May I submit that having both a Sharp Plasmacluster and the new Alen Paralda, the Paralda wins hands down after using it for the last ten months. For my use it was like night and day and within 3-5 days was noticeable to my wife who suffers badly from pollution, minor allergies and any dampness.

Even for myself, I find having the Paralda in our master bedroom has taken away the dry throat I used to have in the mornings. Not to mention my children have found the same.


I am definitely going to purchase a few more for the bedrooms and an A375UV for my large living room.

I personally cannot stress enough how important it is for us to breath the cleanest air possible. In Hong Kong, we are all challenged by both pollution and hiding in our homes which only traps bad air and recirculates it!

Again, even those who do not suffer in an obvious way I believe are just kidding themselves and over time will suffer the same effects.
